Engineering Services

Your roadmap, shipped by senior engineers.

Cross-functional teams that build inside your codebase, your standards, and your time zone — from new product work to the legacy systems everything depends on.

What we do

  • Product Development

Senior cross-functional pods that take your roadmap from spec to production. Outcomes, not hours.

  • Platform Engineering

The infrastructure, tooling, and internal platforms that make your teams faster — built to be maintained, not admired.

  • Modernization & Technical Debt

Your legacy systems, evolved and made AI-ready — without stopping the business that runs on them. AI changed the economics of paying down technical debt; we make that real.

  • QA Automation

Test automation woven into delivery, so speed never comes at quality's expense.

  • Cloud & DevOps

Deployment, observability, and cost control across your cloud — boring by design, reliable by default.

  • Staff Augmentation

Senior engineers embedded in your team, under your management. When that's what you need, we've done it for 14 years.

The math changed; the discipline didn't

Coding agents changed the economics of writing software faster than most teams changed how they work. The result is predictable: more code, sooner, with the same number of people responsible for whether it's right. The difference is not which model they use. It is whether they kept the discipline the model can't supply.

Every Sophilabs engineer works AI-augmented — code generation, test generation, documentation tooling — and brings the habits behind our delivery: code review as routine, tests woven in, decisions written down. None of this is new. It is what good engineering teams already did, applied to a collaborator that types faster than any of them. The teams getting the most from AI aren't the ones who trusted it most. They are the ones who never stopped checking.

What every release carries

  • The scope is the contract

before a sprint starts, what "done" means is written down, with the states and the edge cases. You are not buying attention; you are buying that document, shipped.

  • A person decides what correct means

agents scaffold tests fast and decide correctness badly. The generated case is reviewed by an engineer who knows what the feature must and must not do, and a test that merely mirrors the implementation is rejected.

  • The gate is automatic

every merge runs the suite; every release waits for it. A gate that only runs on someone's machine is a suggestion.

  • A name on every release

the agent doesn't decide. An engineer does — and is accountable for what went out, the way they always were.

Proof

Seven years inside Auth0's product — core features, Python and Node libraries, the sign-in widget — as they grew from startup to unicorn. UX scaled to millions of users for Influenster. CareerVillage, thirteen years and counting — the first arc: Django brought up to date, the front end moved to React, deployment rebuilt, and a site that finally worked on mobile, which for this audience was the whole problem. For Envio 360, we built the multi-tenant architecture that lets an optimisation platform read the TMS a company already runs.

Sophilabs is the booster rocket for my startup. Their work is great, and they made my success their goal so I can focus more on my startup’s future.

From the field

How engagements run

Fixed-price projects, or a monthly subscription priced on output, not hours — for teams that keep building. Either way, the engineers who scope your work are the engineers who ship it. Most pods start with one feature the roadmap has been carrying for quarters — the one everyone agrees matters and nobody has had the team to build. From there the pod runs on a weekly cadence: demo, decide, ship — and you can stop at any sprint: if the roadmap changes, the pod changes with it; if it stops making sense, you stop. Pods take accountability for outcomes. Augmentation adds people to your team, under your direction — with a trial you only pay for if you continue. Hours measure effort. We would rather be measured on what shipped.

FAQ

  • How is this different from staff augmentation?

You buy outcomes, not seats: the pod is accountable for shipping, not for hours.

  • Can you work inside our codebase and standards?

It's our defining habit — seven years inside Auth0's.

  • Can you work on a system with no tests and no docs?

That's the typical patient. Stabilize first, then change.

  • What happens to the code when the engagement ends?

It is yours from the first commit: in your repository, documented, with the tests and the runbook. The hand-off is written to work without us.
